Internships/Volunteer Opportunities

We are passionate about providing people with the skills they need to succeed in the arts. Work with us to create a volunteering/internship placement that will truly benefit the community and your own personal career or progress. The following are the main areas that the Cambridge Art Salon needs help with. This can be a commitment of just a few hours a week, or something more structured. Volunteers/interns will be promoted in our marketing pack and online and be credited for their work. You will receive references upon completion of your time with us.

Marketing

Help to promote the Cambridge Art Salon as a platform for the arts in Cambridge. Use a variety of techniques: from online social media, to press liaison, poster and fliers; as well as more imaginative concepts. Do you have experience in webs design or social media? Want to gain more experience in arts marketing?

Fundraising

Help make the Cambridge Art Salon truly sustainable for the community in Cambridge. Creative and imaginative fundraising ideas are very welcome, as well as a chance to gain experience in funding bids and applications.

Gallery

Gain experience helping install and prepare shows. Invigilate or give viewings of the Cambridge Art Salon Gallery. Liaise with emerging and established artists to help showcase a range of exciting contemporary art, craft and creative work.

Community

Create exciting new connections with community groups in Cambridge. Host networking events, encourage talks, screenings, community classes. Help us find new ways to include marginalised groups through engaging with the community.

DIY/Practical/Gardening

Maybe you are a deft hand at DIY? Interior design? Or have a practical skill you can share with the Cambridge Art Salon? We have a veggie patch that is crying out for love and a small garden area that can be cultivated. Plus always need hands to help with the space.
